LSSI is hiring a Intact Family Case Worker for the Intact Family program. The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services contracts with LSSI to provide in-home services to families who have been indicated for abuse or neglect.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The goal is to maintain the family, whenever safely possible, as an intact entity.
  • The position requires good clinical and assessment skills, and ability to engage and motivate clients to change, while monitoring ongoing safety of the children.
  • Visits will take place in the home where the children reside. The length of the client service can range between 6 to 9 months.

Qualifications:

In addition to a real passion for working with at-risk children and families, this opportunity requires:

  • A BA degree in Social Work or a related human services field.
  • A valid driver’s license, proof of automobile liability insurance, and access to transportation for home visits, meetings, and client transportation
  • Pass DCFS background checks
  • the ability to pass and obtain State licensing required by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. If you do not possess a Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL) upon hire, LSSI will work with you to obtain it.
  • Child welfare experience is preferred.
