Join us as an Operations Coordinator in our Moorpark, CA facility.

You will... Support team members on the line. Ensure that the line is running at constant pace. Responsible for improving the process through the implementation of the lean principles. Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost control.

What's in it for you?

  • The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is: $17.88 - $33.22. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

More details about the opportunity:

* Ensure that the cell is set up correctly before the start of the shift and before every break.

* Monitor line for proper start-up.

* Verify that the team members are following standard work.

* Provide training, classes, tools, and skills for team members to be able to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively.

* Ensure 100% completion of the schedules.

* Identify root cause and implement corrective actions for identified problems.

* Monitor quality of product to ensure compliance with established standards and product performance levels.

* Must be able to interact and communicate effectively both oral and in writing with all levels of the organization.

* Responsible to implement Lean principles in his/her department(s).

* Must be able to perform all the operations in his/her department(s) in Takt time.

* Fill in when team members must leave the line.

* Do repairs in and offline.

* Track production by filling out the hour-by-hour chart.

* Kaizen stations.

* Help support good housekeeping.

* Watch for and identify safety and ergonomic issues, get them fixed quickly.

* Train new team members.

* Assign work when the line is down for extended period of time.

* Maintain certification on all jobs in cell.

* Train team members on JOBS.

* Measure, Monitor and Sustain Quality/Delivery/cost Metrics and 5-S.

* Conduct ergonomic exercises at start of shift.

* Maintain Kanban quantities.

* Uphold Handbook/policies.

* Recognize exemplary performance and address poor performance issues.

* Maintain time and attendance: (Kronos) as back-up to Shift Leader.

* Report production and scrap to Shift Leader

* Maintain 1st level data for lean

* Suggest and implement daily "continuous improvement" activities

* Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Ability to create a highly effective team environment
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism
* Strong sense of business ethics
* PC literacy: Windows, Word, Lotus Notes, etc.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
* Able to lead team problem-solving efforts
* Ability to train other individuals lean Scoreboard

Education and Experience
* High school diploma
* 1-2 years' experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS
* Bilingual (English - Spanish)
